Lt Col army officer of Army Educational Corps retired in June1989 had the unique opportunity not only of serving in peace and field areas but of selecting the officer material for Indian armed forces as a member of the Services Selection Boards and then involved with their pre-commission training in all the premier institutions of the country namely National Defence Academy, Indian Military Academy, Officers’ Training Academy and Army Cadet College during his service career.
A student of multiple disciplines of Science, Arts, Law and Education subjects from Agra, Panjab, Sagar and Poona Universities could comfortably apply Yog principles to become a fond golfer too.
After retirement worked on studies of Vedas and Patanjali Yog Sutras, the kind of literature he was interested since childhood being a student of DAV Schools from fifth class onwards after having studied in Urdu medium till primary level. He has posted his observations on his blog alongside experimenting on his farm with Jatropha plants and techniques to make an Indian farmer self-reliant.
He tried to find a sequential existence in Patanjali’s yogic language by tending to an Alzheimer’s patient who happens to be his alter ego and recording as “A Naïve Caregiver” the progressive degeneration and possible precautions and treatments for the benefit of all. He hoped against hopes that a new sequence can be started that may nullify the present symptoms. He was of the firm opinion that persistence alone can neutralize the properties of a stage of existence.
